New JWT Token Management
To be compliant with the Chrome's upcoming limitations regarding the use of third-party cookies, the way the JWT is exchanged with the Servitly backend has been updated.
This update impacts mobile apps based on a framework that makes use of an embedded browser, such as Cordova.
As of this version of Servitly, the JWT token is returned within the response to the login API, and must be sent back as a bearer token in the Authorization header. The old cookie-based mechanism will continue to work until the end of the 2024, this will give a way for those who are integrating Servitly APIs to upgrade their clients.
For more details refer to the Migrating to Authorization Header article.
Virtual Things
In the console you can now define Virtual Things that can be used to publishing metric data through a CSV data source.
You can upload your CSV file that contains data from multiple metrics in a time interval. The file will be automatically read, and the data published to a thing registered in your DPS.
This allows console users, to speed up the dashboard setup phase, even if they do not yet have an actual product connected.
Recipe List Widget Improvements
The Recipe List widget has been improved, and in addition to a new look and feel, the selection of recipe parameters has been simplified.
Operation Managers and Operator users can now edit their recipes, shared even across multiple machines, and select parameters more easily even if there are hundreds of parameters for a given machine model.
Bug fixes (Console)
- The CSS editor reloaded the page on saving, causing the position of the line to be lost and forcing the editor to be scrolled through each time.
- The Standard System Status section was not being inherited correctly among the Thing Definitions.
